The Prep Work before The Surgery

The Prep Work before The Surgery
Chemotherapy

Well, I'm at home today. I was physically too beat to make it to church because of the new drug regiment for pain. My prayer is to be back next week so I can worship with my people. I can't talk or sing but I can listen to my church family sing, pray, and read the Word of God. Those things alone give me strength with my own prayer and scripture reading to follow Jesus another week.

This week I have to reschedule some PET scan visits due to getting out of the hospital on Saturday instead of Sunday. Other than that I have to visit with one of the surgeons as he plans which leg bone will become my new jaw bone. You guys like right fibula or left?

And then I start my chemotherapy routine. I'm supposed to do 3 to 4 each week. over the weeks this is supposed to shrink the cancer cells to make them smaller and easier to remove all of it when surgery comes. They may also include some days of immunotherapy. My surgeons say they have shown some good work on the rare type of cancer that I have. Let's pray that's true. Now yaw'll go have a great week following Jesus as I try to follow Him, beat this cancer, and help people love Jesus. That's my purpose for all of this.
