I'm in Surgery
So I wrote this letter yesterday afternoon to be delivered this morning. I am currently in surgery. I have had so many people pray for me while I have had cancer. I want to that everyone from the bottom of my heart.
The doctor tells me that when this surgery is over, I will no longer have cancer. During the past month I have taken chemotherapy along with immunotherapy. The two together have caused my tumor to shrink 80%. The remaining 20% is being removed during surgery today.
So let me give you and idea of how things will go from here. My surgery started at 7:00am or 7:30am. It will last 7-8 hours. I will not know or understand much once I awaken. I won't be able to talk as my new jaw will be tied in. I will have my jaw locked in place for 1 to 2 weeks. Once my jaw is untied I will slowly learn to talk again and should be able to speak normal by the end of the month.
So I will be communicating primarily this month through righting to people close to me and text people instead of calling. It may take a few days to be able to text you but if you text message me I'll reply as soon as I am able.
For now, please know that I appreciate every time you've prayed for me and continue to during my recovery. I be back here as soon as I am able.
For now, I'll just head back to my surgery for another few hours. Bye.
