I'm Home from the Hospital
Well everyone, I made it home last night. I am so glad that I am away from the hospital. The surgery was a rough almost eleven hour surgery with two surgens.
I have a long recovery ahead. My chin and right side of my face are heavily swollen as they had to surgically remove cancer. My left leg has to recover as the doctor removed my fibula and made a new jawbone which he put in to replace my original. Then I had a skin graft to cover a hole in my face. Needless to say, for the next month I could make a kid cry. The doctor called it a radical cancer removal. As far as we know right now all cancer is gone. I go back to the doctor on the 11th to get a fulll final report.
My main purpose in writing today is to again thank everyone for their prayers and gifts. I saw Jesus in the churches and people of Oconee County. I saw Jesus in my Florida and Georgia friends. I saw Jesus in all of you. Thank you very much.
