I Miss My People
A couple of weeks ago, I preached the last sermon that I will for a while. It was from Ephesians and focused on knowing for sure that you're a christian.
I am thankful for the people I pastor. I love them because we may not be kin, we are family. We are family because of our faith in Christ.
So in spite of my inability to speak very much and my pain, I will be at tomorrow's 10:45am service. I will have a moment to share about my experience but most importantly we will read God's Word. We will pray. I will listen as my friends sing in worship. We will hear God speak to us through the Bible as it is preached.
I miss my people. But what I miss the most is worshipping with my people. My cancer and tumor may not allow me to be able to be there every week but as often as I can I will. I need the Lord but I also need my people.
